Interior Exterior
Q:
My hardtop tends to bulge up in the center along the rear window shroud (roll bar cover) while mounted. Can this additional center mount, as shown from a Lotus Sport Elise, be adapted to earlier hardtops?
A:
I did read an article awhile back that said the
Elise S (in Europe) was vastly improved with
regard to things like squeaking and rattling.
Perhaps this new version of the hardtop was
part of the improvements.
A:
improves and may help with buldge... back tack on another 10 hours of removal time... by the time the top comes off, its nightfall.... or the rains have flooded the interior by then...
i love the elise... but i just wished they could have engineered a hardtop (t-top) more easily removable/attachable like my nsx-t....

+1 would love to know. mine buldges just a little too and I get wind noise there!

Any updated info on this?
A:
Drilling new screw holes and fitting hardware in the stock hardtop can't be too difficult.
I'm sure that that bracket has a part number already...
A:
I pointed my hardtop bulge in that center spot out to Qais and he said it was fine.
Still looks wrong but doesn't leak.
Like to get that part number too...

If anyone knows it, please share. My local dealer went through their 'current' parts book to no avail.

No news, but some help needed.
I brought my 2006 Exige for service and they replaced the liner. Now I have these two screw holes in the back, which I thought I did not have before ??
Do all 2006 cars (exiges) have these holes ?
I will get part number tomorrow from the dealer...
Thanks !

Sounds like they forgot to replace this new mounting bracket.
