Care for black Sport Pack wheels

Interior Exterior

Q:
I've tried a bunch of different products and I'm having a hard time finding something that will leave my black wheels clean and shiny looking (well, not "shiny" since they are flat black...). I washed my car again today and tried the Eagle 1 wheel cleaner spray. I've also tried Meguair's and DuPont Teflon wheel cleaner sprays. And I've tried actually waxing one of the wheels with Eagle One Nanowax to see if it would work.
None of these products are working. After washing the car earlier tonight, I just went out for a quick drive and the wheels actually look dirtier, like they have a film on them.
I think the wheels are painted and not powdercoated. So I'm a little confused as to what types of products I should be using on them to keep them clean and protected. Ideally something easy to apply because I hate wiping the entire wheel surface with a cloth, it is kind of a pain as I don't have small hands. So if you have an idea for a device to try that would be nice too. I tried a wheel brush from Walmart but it is too big to get between the spokes.

Don't know about a cleaner but use a small foam paint applicator.
Works great, I fount this out thru Elise Talk

Cool, I will try that tomorrow night. I think I will try the NXT Tech Wax and see if that does anything.

Following my father's cue, I was a Westley's Wheel-Brite fan for many years until we learned that it can be harmful to some modern wheel coatings. We switched to Simple Green and away we went. Get the wheel wet with a sponge, then spray the Simple Green and let it sit for a minute or two. I use a floor-scrubbing brush (about the size of the palm of my hand) to lather up the tire sidewalls and the edge of the wheel near the tire bead. Then I use a toothbrush to get in between/all around the spokes and everywhere else. Rinse liberally with water and enjoy. Two nights ago, the neighbor's kid and I did all four wheels in fifteen minutes, so I wouldn't call that too time-intensive.
Keep in mind that nothing shows dirt better than black, whether flat, gloss, or otherwise. Brake dust and other crud accumulate eventually, but I'm happy enough with the results, and Simple Green is an affordable grease-cutter that's readily available.
