...and it's available from your friends at Sector 111. In fact I should be checking out the kit this week in Japan.
BTW: Adam you PM box if full. Thanks for psting the pix!

WOW!!
I like the side skirts for sure, it fills out the transition from the front to the rear of the car. The front splitter is cool, too.
I don't like the removal of the front indicators.
What's the rear tire size? Looks larger than 225s.

Thanks for letting me know Shinoo, I cleaned some out. Where are you going to be in Japan?
The rear tires are 245/40/17. they are 205's in front. Can't remember the side wall right now.

Sorry to say this and be the party pooper....WHO WOULD PAY 35K FOR THIS?
I this this is the strangest thing I have ever seen! I love the difuser and rear wing, but a new body that costs 35K on a car that costs 40K????
I reccommend a fully build Honda K20 conversion with turbocharger for a lot less money, with accompanying suspension and tire/wheel changes. Then pocket the remaining 15K.
On a side not, can you show the mounting positions of the rear wing? I am cautious about mounting anything on the rear of the car and mounting it to the fiberglass. Especially if it creates downforce. I would love to see details of it.

I am also strongly interested in any rear wing info!!

Would be interesting to know the weight reduction you get for that price increase.
A:
including the weight loss on your wallet?
I would be interested in the wing also...and myabe hardtop...

Should be about 80-85lbs. Maybe even 90. The carbon weighs about 1/3 of the fiberglass.

Okay so a 1 to 10 power to weight ratio, and you lose 80 pounds (which I think is extremely optomistic) is the same as gaining 8 hp.
Or another way to think of it, 35,000 dollars/80 pounds = 437 dollars per pound you lose. It seems like there are better ways to go fast.
Or another one, 35,000/8 hp = $4,375 dollars per hp.

Am I the only one who loves those wheels?? I love that rear lip!! It looks pretty good on the elise, I had imagined a rear lip would look goofy on the elise, not so!

Lossing weight isn't just about being able to accelerate faster; it is also about stopping quicker and changing directions at faster speeds.
However, I don't think these CF parts are typically a rational purchase either. I'm sure an Enzo would be just as fast if it was made of plastic instead of CF.
It sure is cool!

80 lbs isn't optomistic at all. The front clam is 33lbs. The CF one is 10.8lbs. That's 22.2lbs just in the front clam. If you figure the rear is about 36 or 37 lbs, 1/3 of that is about 12.3, saving 24.7. That's 46.9 right there. Save 6.9 in the rear hatch. About 10 in the HT. A pound or 2 in the front panels. How much do the doors and side skirts weigh? 15-20 and 8-10 each? Even if you go with the lower estimates, that's a 30lbs savings for both doors and both side skirts. All that totals up to 94.8lbs saved and if you leave out the HT, that's about 85lbs.
I'll agree that it's very expensive though and isn't really worth it unless you have the money, but if you do, why not? 80lbs is a lot and it looks damn cool.
Sleepless is very right about the gains in handling. That's really where you can feal the biggest difference.

Yes these figures are convincing. Further weight- and cost- reductions might be possible if Kevlar fibres would be used here and there instead of carbon fibres. (Kevlar gives much better impact strength / resistance!) And the price could be reduced if you make it not for show only but paint the whole car afterwards.
BTW: A square meter of carbon fibre woven material costs approximately 20 $ and a kg of epoxy resign you can get for 8 $.
Once you have the negative moulds it’s labour you have to pay for therefore painting makes sense, too. All racecars are painted!

I think it adds to the exotic quality of the Elise. Grant it, I most likely wouldn't pay for this upgrade, but if I had a few $K to throw around....
Also, Say you do get a ding or a deep scratch...does CF buff out?
Hmmmmm....
