Interior Exterior
Q:
Very nice!

And the big news is that the first one will be here in the US this April!! Also the Manufacturer's statement of the official weight saving over the stock Elise is......101Kg = 224 lbs! I am not joking. Here is a photo of the CF elises out on the run.
A:
So, the one on the right is CF too? Does that mean that they are making the stock body in CF as well as the, um - "enhanced", version that was at that auto show with the funky splitters, way deep rockers, etc? If they make a completely stock-style body in CF, and it shaves 225 lbs, that would be pretty sweet. Not $35K sweet, but still pretty cool.
A:
Yes, They will be making CF bodies in 3 styles. Stock,Modified Elise and stock Exige(will fit on the Elise). You can purchase any part of the body. The top selling parts are 1.Hard top, 2.Engine cover, 3.Front panels. We will be offering the Engine cover with or without CF wing attachments.

The Full CF Elise in the middle seems to be about 2 inches lower than the other Elise to its left, Do You know what kind of suspension it has?

Can you list all the individual parts involved in this kit? 101kg is mega mega huge and does not sound like just the clams and doors to me. It must include interior mods too and also manifold, exhaust etc....
A:
It is a new adjustable Air Suspension (adjustments can be made from inside) developed for the 111R by them. I will be bringing this set up here next week and testing them on the track. We also have these 4 piston AP brake upgrade kits available for the 111R
A:
They did use theTitanium exhaust system made by ARQRAY. Also those wheels you see are also new. They are fully forged wheels and the front wheels are lighter than the SSRs(not by much). The rear wheels are the same weight as the SSRs but they are wider (245/40/17). There's no interior modification except for the seats. Their seats weigh about 8.5lbs a piece.
Please remember that CF parts are used for the entire body which includes inside the trunk as well as the entire doors.

Does the car have an Arqray exhaust manifold also? As for the CF front clams, more specifically the front panels. How will we be able to install them when the fuse box and brake booster are in the way? I like the original look with the steeper front panels.
A:
Fantastic job but 35k are 35k!
Wich production volume is needed to cut the price?
100 kg less is like to say that standard parts are 300kg.
That's right?
What kind of car was used to do the job?
111R or a rover engined Elise?
A:
We first did the 111S then we made the 111R. The Manufacturer can not produce that many since each item is made by hand. I was told that they can only produce 1.5 to 2 complete body kits per month. And with a high demand for their smaller parts (ie:Hard top, Engine cover, Front panels and Diffuser) they are already behind their schedule.
A:
Does one of these kits have deepeer wheel wells? I just cant see switching body panels without making room for wider tires at the same time. When is someone going to make a kit so we can run 10" wide wheels with 275's all the way around? I'd also like the kit to be made out of some cheap ABS plastic so when I do scratch the **** out of it I dont have to take out a 2nd mortgage on the house to get it fixed.
A:
Available sizes(rear) 17 X 8 and 17 X 9 will fit 245/40/17,255/40/17(depends on Manfs).
A:
all this is awome....I mean awsome but worth 35k i think not.
especially if its being produced....i might pay like 10-12k...at the max for this upgrade. thats about it though.

You can not produce entire body kit in Pre-Preg CF for 10-12k. I wish. ....
A:
the problem with stuff like this is u will be driving an 85k dollar elise that u would be lucky to get anything more than 55k for....
for 85k, i think i would start looking at a noble or something....just my o2.

i was just saying...That i would only pay that much for this.....And even 10-12k will burn pretty bad if you ever cracked the front lip or hit a cone while on the track. etc. Crazy money to get that fixed.

The thing is, if you want to modify your car you will never recover your costs on resale. But you do it because you like it and it's fun.
I recently saw a $60k Viper with $110k worth of mods on it. That seems crazy, but supposedly it's the fastest Viper in the world. It has 1600 hp and does 0-60 in 1.5 seconds (or so they say).

i agree....But its a little different because this 35k isnt going to make your elise the fastest elise in the world.
u would basically have to have money to wipe your ass with in order to justify this mod.
Heres another food for thought. How much would your insurance be with this mod. Cuz im sure you would have to notify them that you just put 35k worth of body on your Elise if you want them to cover it if anything were to happen.
