Static cling is easy as long as you use lots of water and a squeegy, they install in a couple of minutes each.
I apply mine the night before an event with a spray bottle of water and a squeegy. Stays on all night, the drive to the event, and all day.

I use the re-usable sticky vinyl, and I like them a lot. They take abuse, and go on and off very easily.
I don't remember where I got mine- some mail order place I found online. I just googled "track day numbers", I think.
I like to have three individual digits, rather than one big piece, because it allows you to form different numbers in case there's a duplicate that day. You can see mine (barely) in the avatar. Not sure if I have a better shot of them.
