Interior Exterior
Q:
Is there any kind of product that will remove scuffs from the drivers side door sill? My sill is getting scuffed up from me getting in and out of the car. I would like to remove the scuffs and then apply some protective film like that I've seen mentioned on ET before. The replacement sill is $90 from Lotus Garage. I'd prefer not to have to replace the whole thing if there is a "magic" product out there...

I've used black bumper paint on a different car's sills before and it worked well for hiding scratches. I sprayed over the whole sill and it turned out to be pretty durable too. I cannot say how well it would stick to a Lotus sill but I would definitely recommend sanding and cleaning first.

Try the "Magic Eraser". I've used this to remove scuffs from my other cars and it worked perfectly.
I can't say for sure it will work for you. For me, I was removing black scuff marks off of tan and grey interiors. Give it a shot and let us know!
PS. these are great for lots of things... crayon off of walls, etc.
EDIT: I am not recommending this on any painted surface. I am assuming you mean the black plastic surface.
