Q:
Than why not get the Reverie seat from sector111? Its made directly for the elise, is much lighter than non-carbon seats, and looks a whole lot better too.
Check the specs on those carefully; I think they are quiet narrow in the hips and legs...
A:
I'm guessing the Cup cars come with the larger REV 5/Plus. Hopefully, that is what you got too because I think I read somewhere that your are 5'11"; you won't fit in the regular REV; the should harness holes are too low (I had mine enlarged by elongating the holes up).
I hope so, or else I'll be changing out the driver's seat too.
I sat in the Cup car w/Sparco seat when Lotus brought it to BW for the WCLM -- It felt great and I had plenty of headroom although I sat in the seat without my helmet on, if I recall correctly. The shoulder harness holes in the seat seemed to be just fine also, given the way the belts/harness bar/roll cage were installed in the Cup car. Well I'll know soon enough about the fit -- supposedly my Cup Exige went on the transport and left LCU last Thursday.

Why not make it easy on yourself? You can easily have pass through slots added to your current seats. The cost is small and it is a very tidy installation. Side benefit - you can have them installed to fit your perfectly!
If you want a photo, let me know. Good luck - hope you never need to find out how well they work.
A:
Sleepless -- it's a prototype of a Sector111 "tall person's seat". Talk to Shinoo.

This does not work if you want to use a HANS device; the slots need to be higher than is possible with the stock seats.

Jack - I haven't given up yet. Although I've ordered an Exige seat, I'm still looking into putting in a Rev Plus seat I can't believe Hypersport even sells the REV; you have to be a midget to fit in it!

Well, I stand corrected, my Cup 240 arrived and it has a Recaro, not a Sparco, seat. I was happily surprised. I sat in the Recaro with my helmet on and had sufficient headroom.
A:
That little pic of your 240 is very very puuurty. Me likes...a lot. Very sad I can't see it on Wed.
A:
Now all we need to know is *which* Recaro you've got there Jack!
Congrats on the Cup car

Pete,
My son, who some consider an expert on Recaro seats , says it's the Pole Position model. It's definitely wider than the typical base model Recaro. FWIW, the seats fit me well (btw, I'm no slim Jack) and hold me in position much better than the standard Exige seats.
A:
Wow, that would be a great seat in an Elise. Those are excellent seats. If at some point you could take a couple more pictures of them, I could tell if they are indeed Pole Positions (not that I doubt your son or anything, but a confirmation is always good ).
Thanks.

Pete,
I stand corrected -- they are not Pole Positions, but rather......Schale Apex SPG
A:
Speedware motorsports sells the seat for $820 in black velour only. I wonder if there were significant modification required to get the Recaro Apex to fit.
Is there more back padding versus the stock seats?
A:
Thanks Jack! I've asked Robert at Blackwatch if he can get the seat and brackets from Lotus Sport.
A:
Looks like the SPG will not work for me; looks like it has basically the same dimensions as the Sparco REV which I've already tried (and is now for sale).
Apparently my hip bones are wider than many of you Oh well, I've still got a Exige seat coming, that will have to do.
Thanks for digging into the seat info Jack! Appreciate it

You're welcome -- sorry it didn't help.
A:

Sure, I'll try to do it later today.

You can just do a Google search on "recaro spg" to get lots of pictures.

And the Sparco Rev, which is what Hypersport sells looks like this:
