It's been almost an hour. Is it in yet?
A:
Here it is installed
Your head will thank you

Are those parts anodized, or just plain aluminum? Looks pretty shiny, usually anodized aluminum has a dull finish to it...?
A:
Finally!
That looks great. Thanks for quick install with pics!
Does it keep the lid from opening to far and bumping the clam?
Any rattles?
Any other comments?

I think its plain aluminum, but not sure. It's less shiny in person...
Kepper
If I lift from the center it does not hit my clam even when fully extended.
However it does come very close!
Haven't driven with it yet, so I don't know about rattles... I will keep an eye on it to see if it wears on anything.
It was a easy install overall. Getting to the 10mm nuts to attach the top portion is the hardest part. Best part, I don't have to avoid my boot anymore!

Install hint:
Uh...don't do it after you've been tearin up the roads, the engine cover is a whee bit hot. I was/am not smart enough to realize this.
Here are 2 pics...one of the lid almost closed so you can see how it folds. I was wondering if the aluminum would get too hot since it's directly bolted to engine cover and what that would do to the lid since it's very close? Then I figured oh well, there are lots of vents there, and Sector wouldn't really wanna melt everyone's lids - so all is good.

Hey "The Dro"!!!! There is already one "Dro" around here and has been for quite some time.
Please change your name so as not to cause confusion.
Thanks,
Dro
EDIT: I guess I should consider imitation the sincerest form of flattery. But still....
A:
YEAH! One Dro is plenty for us!
That engine lid is pretty slick. I wonder if it's SCCA stock-class eligible? If it is, I want one!
A:
How does it attach to the lid?
A:
How does it attack to the lid?
There are two nuts/bolts holding the lock on the lid. The 'bone attaches to them.
I'm waiting for mine to arrive.

Sector 111 have their own CNC machine?
A:
Sector 111 have their own CNC machine? I don't think so, I think these were manufactured to their spec.
A:
This really is an ingenious design. The way it tucks under the lid so close without touching is amazing. It must have taken a lot of heavy cardboard mock-ups to get it right. I'm looking forward to mine arriving any day now.

ordered one on sunday.. still no ship
A:
Ordered one yesterday!
A:
That was a very clever design. I will defently have to remember this.
