If the price was right I would definately be in. My wife almost bought it for me for my birthday but couldn't pull the trigger for a part that doesn't do anything for performance and that only I can see.

i'm interested to know if anyone has this too. i'd like a CF center console but i'm not big on the black line down the center of the sector111 one. i'm sure it's a quality piece, i'd just rather go for the one-piece look if i had the choice...

I've had the CF center console for a while now, very nice piece. Removed the black tape, looks much better without it, seam lines up nicely.

What is S111's usual price? I have javascript disabled by my company's IT group and I'm away on an eight-day business trip. I can't get the S111 site to give me any information betond the home page. TIA.

Correct. CF is exceedingly easy to work with (cutting/drilling especially)... Have a drill? Have some bits? Then you have a way to mount the TC button in about 10 minutes flat...

Isnt CF supposed to be very brittle? i was under the impression that it was usually strong in only one direction and can break under relatively low loads from other directons

Not really. Part of that depends upon whether it was dry or wet laid CF. Yes that is very true that CF is stronger in some directions (it is a weave after all) but drilling a hole is not going to be an issue... at all...

Watch out for drilling or die gringing carbon fib. Nasty little barbs fly out and get you. A small hole is no big deal but I've had things go into my arms 1/4"!
Mask and eyewear is important is you play with it much.
And I'm fairly interested in a group buy also. Don't feel I would want to if it's near $400.00 though.
