Storm Craftsquare Mirrors

Interior Exterior

Q:
First off I'd like to thank, Mic and Kurt at Elite Auto Refinishing for lending us their booth.. They do EXCELLENT repairs on Elises and Exiges and I would highly recommend them for any body work.. Also thanks to the "rattle-can king" TTP.. Without you guys I couldn't of done it..
I wanted a cleaner look and decided to paint the Carbon Fiber Storm Ti.. I also wanted to leave 1/4inch stripe black along the edges to reveal the CF..
For paint, I used paint from Tower Paint as reccomended here on Etalk..

Still need to clear and wet sand..
A:
clams!!!!
A:
I'm da' masta'!
A:
Yes you are..
A:
Very nice.
A:
Patience Grasshoppa'. You will learn.
A:
Am I the only one here who thinks the Craftsquare mirrors are both ugly and ruin the sleek lines of the Elise? Even painted body color...ouchie-uggsville. If you like em, that's all that counts.
A:
I love them.. Not only do they function aerodynamically, they improve your vision dramatically No blind spots..
A:
Hey Jay,
Just to translate Joe's comments for ya....
"Your mirrors are f'ckin' ugly no matter if paint them or not. You're gonna f'up the lines of your precious Elise when when you install them. Damn, they sure are sure are ugly, but if you can live with your bad taste and decision making then....kudos to you."
We have a theory that all..... ::

Blah, you just want to buy them off my hands..
Then I may fall under the theory.....
Sorry Joe, inside joke...

These mirrors give a huge panoramic view behind you...these, the multivex mod, or the Sector convex mirrors I think are required for this car.

Not sure if you are the only one but I am one more guy that thinks these look much much better than the stockers. The stock mirrors are my least favorite exterior piece on the car.

I see just fine with the stock mirrors. They only need to be adjusted properly. I don't know of any car in the market that allows you to see EVERY nook and cranny. Is it really necessary?
A:
I found them invaluable last time I was at the track - allowed me to see moving targets from way out left or right, and very useful in the multi-lane environment we have on cali freeways with people merging from 2 lanes over. For me at least with the stock mirrors properly positioned outward I still felt blind as a bat on outer lanes and slightly behind me. But really...they look badass, the car needs some edge and the black accents work well for me.

same with me.. with the oem mirrors I always leaned foward to check my spot..

Sorry Joe, inside joke... curses. you found out about my plan.
A:
I really like these mirrors and the Formula 1 look. My main justificaiton for spending this much cash for mirrors is safety...hope they are much better!
I have a question...when the Craftsquare Mirrors are installed there is a flat body colored panel with a screw above the base. Is this included or just a exposed piece that the stock mirror hides?
Here is what I'm talking about...

A:
Anyone?
A:
That's just what is underneath...I may paint mine black to match my mirrors
