Anyone else have their hard AC lines vibrate?

Interior Exterior

Q:
Mine started today...At about 1300 rpm they would vibrate enough to rattle and resonate through the passneger side chassis. I grabbed a couple zip ties and pulled them taught. I did some searching but didn't see this as a wide spread thing.

Yes, they vibrated on my Exige only when the a/c was on and at idle. The dealer fixed it...not sure if they used zip ties or padding.

I had the EXACT same rattle in my exige. Low rpm, and a terrible rattle, very loud. I thought it was in the passenger door, took the door panel off and checked everything. Put the car up on a lift and found the a/c lines that go between the chassis and the fiberglass sill were loose. I also used the zip ties to pull them away from the fiberglass, and it worked like a charm. Thought I was the only one. There must be others!!!

I'm very glad to see this post. I had my car at South Bay to find what I thought was a horrible rattle in the passenger door. They couldn't find anything which was very frustrating because it's very loud. I'm guessing that when they drove it the a/c was off because when I took it for my first ride with the a/c on it was loud and clear. Now I know what how to get rid of it. Thank you.

YES!!!! Had the car into the dealer last week and they could not find the "source" after 2 hours. Said I'd have to come back a have them look again. How can I take care of this myself??? Drives me nuts at a stop light. Only discovered it had to do with the A/C as i turned it off by happen stance and it stopped. Dealer also said "rattles" would not be covered.
A:
Take off the lower engine cover. The 2 hard lines can be seen through the passenger side louver. Grab them from the underneath side. I used something to hold my gas pedal so they would vibrate and then adjusted them with some zip ties.

Thanks! Hate to say it but new Lotus dealers could stand to reference this site at times!
