Weight Loss Plan

Interior Exterior

Q:
You can either use spacers to slightly raise a corner to tranfer weight or just put the weight where you need it like moving a battery to a different location etc. Caster changes also affect weight balance slightly.
Did you move the battery? Did you have to extend the cables? I want to move it to the other side of the boot.

no we did not move the battery (just got the small dry cell to reduce weight).

Man , and I thought I was thin at 133 lbs... Oh hush up you toothpicks!
5' 11.5" 185lbs. 20% bf and losing... I was 149 lbs. just over a decade ago (before I started dating my wife... shhhh!)

Below is a pic of old door panel from the back side. The cushion is attached via the 3 black "studs" so it should just pop off.
Next is a crapy pick of the CF door panel; too many reflections so I'll get a pic later using outside natural lighting.
The last pic is of my custom lightweight foot rest for the passenger
A:
i like the CF door panels a lot. It saved about 2 lbs, I'm guessing? How much does the footrest weigh? 5 lbs?
A:
The foot rest is 1 lb or less.
A:
Isn't that center spine pretty flimsy? It looks like you riveted that 'foot rest' to it. Will it actually stand up to being stood up on?
(Sorry, it's late. I got a big kick out of writing that anyway.)

Not really flimsy. It should be strong enough for a bit of support which is all I need; the harness does the real support work.
A:
sleepless, i put the stock battery back in because I now have a motorsports alternator and the racing battery just cannot cope with the load.
A:
is it about capacity or peak current (starting motor etc?)
I wonder if one of these might work better than a standard lead-acid..

Lost another 12lbs; bought KMS Elise's carbon fiber hardtop! It is a VERY high quality hardtop and you just have to love 6.5lbs!!
My CF diffuser will be here in a couple of days, another 2lbs drop. But... I couldn't resist the CF front spoiler and Exige CF side air scoops, so the 2lbs drop from the diffuser will be a wash; but I'll have a bit more down force and more air flow (which are mostly a mind game since I doubt I'll notice a difference; so, lets just say some eye candy is not a bad thing ).
A:
I added some weight with the addition of an accusump; didn't weight it but it and the 2.5 quarts of oil, hoses, etc added a few pounds.
Looks like I'll need to weigh the car again soon.
A:
Your wife must be really cool and understanding.
Seriously, I would love find out the weight distribution after the weight-loss plan.
A:
Congrats sleepless... you're on the slippery CF upgrade path now and it's all downhill from here... In fact you can hear the thought process even from here "CF Scoops? Much cheaper than the seats, bargain, I'll have some. CF Diffuser? Better value for money than the seats, I'll have one..."

You're a prophet. Your quote is over 4 months old and look what's happened. Quite a bit of CF on sleeless's car.

Well, given it is our 21st anniv in a week, I definitely think she is pretty cool and understanding
In March, the car weights with 3/5 tank of gas were:
LF 356lbs, RF 356lbs == 712lbs 39%
LR 568lbs, RR 545lbs == 1113lbs 61%
-----------------------1825lbs
