Q:
Robert, have you sold any of the hurricane seats to anyone in the washington dc area. would love to try one out before dropping $2800..
thanks

that crappy cloth actually looks like a high quality abrasion resistant material to me. I agree, it doesn't look good, but it's likely there for a reason. Look at the seams in a car with no miles in it on the showroom floow... the leather at the left and right thigh/hip area at the seam is often shows were to the surface just with however many people have gotten in and out... marketing probably didn't let engineers put the cloth there.
That said, i think my cloth seats being re-done in red leather will likely be all leather, but hey, nothings free in life.

The cloth on my touring seats is torn to ****, a buddy of mine got in, and his studs on his jeans caught and ripped the cloth pretty bad.
I see your point on the leather wear though

The very first one is sitting in my office.

Just came back from Robert's house and had the opportunity to sit in the hurricane seat. Man this seat rocks. I've always wished there was more lateral support in the OEM seat. When I autocross I'm one of those geeks that has to wear a knee pad, because I brace myself against the side sill of the car. I've added a CG-lock and that helps. But this seat really holds you in. Plus it looks Bad A$$. Serebo 1 should have put these in his flat black batmobile.

What was the padding like compared to the 05 and 06 probax seats ?

Seemed much better than my 05 seat. Can't really give an opinion against the probax 06 seat. Since I don't have one and haven't sat in one in a while. But I can say it seemed very comfortable and really held and supported my body in the bucket. It also had the added benifit of pre-cut holes for a 6 point harness. Plus it looks awesome!

But there are no holes at the top for the hurrican seats?
