Q:
I am getting a new windshield next week. This requires removal of the front clam, so I was wondering if there is anything else I should check while I have the front clam off?
Thanks,
Ken
A:
1) check oil coolers for leaks
2) check radiator crimps for leaks
3) install a louder horn
A:
Any suggestions?

I have the red one. It's slightly larger than the black one. Supposedly the tone loudness is the same from each one. I love my red one.

I second that thought. Needs loud horn to defend itself.
Be sure the glass technician knows where to put rear view mirror, May-be even go for the micro-mirror.

Specifically, the mirror is offset to the right of center. I don't recall the amount offhand.

I have the same horn (but the black one) and love it, but Griots description is incorrect in a couple ways. Most importantly, it does not have a 10 amp draw...it is more than that. It will blow 10 amp fuses on a long blast. I have had a 15 amp fuse in place for over a year now and it has not blown.
Mine was installed in place of the stock horn, with only some wire extensions to reach the new mounting location. Some people have gone to the extent of installing complete new wiring and relay. I haven't found that necessary and the wiring and mounting modifications are very small and easily reversible, if desired.

ROTHROCK wants 2 days to install mine!!

The front clam does not need to be removed for windshield replacement.
