I use it after the hand wash and rinse for a FINAL RINSE ONLY before a blow-dry. It works fine for me.
Cartridges that come with the kit are short lived samples only, they have to be replaced after a couple of rinses only. Replacement cartriges are O.K. for several rinses, for me that is about 6 rinses.

I've used one of these for years now and I just love the filtered water for a final rinse. Water spots are basically non-existant. Remember though, the only time the water is filtered is when it is set on the very light fan spray mode, not the high pressure stream.

What do you blow-dry your car with? A leaf blower? You don't have to use a chamois at all?
A:
I use a cheap (about $40) leaf blower from the Home Depot and I add a foam filter across the intake. There are no water marks left on my Ardent Red Elise.

I use this company's product and it really works. The initial setup is more expensive than Mr Clean, but offers me greater versatility, speed and long term usage. You end up with a home spotless washing system quite similar to the Apollo system most high-end car dealers currently use. When you're anal, cost is no object.
A:
My water issue is too much lime in the system. My house has a softener. Has anyone tried washing their car with softened water to see if the spots don't appear?
A:
just say no and use zaino! ok ok that was really cheesy but seriously, zaino is the best stuff ever. gives your car a shine that no other product will!

Soft water helps, but will still leave water spots.
A:
The water at my house comes from a well. It has alot of sulfer and iron. I have a water purification system that makes the water drinkable inside the house, however the water used to wash the elise has the iron and the sulfer.
For that reason I still have to towel dry after using the Mr. Clean system

I use this Mr. Clean thing on all the cars here and I love it. I get no water spots just letting them air dry. I don't know if the soap that comes with this is no good but the filtered water makes it all worth it since I hate fighting with drying a car before the spots start.

I use it on my car all the time.
i don't use the high pressure spray. just the soap. Then after cleaning with a soft sponge, use the filtered water for a final rinse. I use a camois to towel dry, then wax.
My Ardent Red looks great afterwards.
DON'T use high pressure, it'll go into the trunk (boot) and windows.
A:
i tried it but it's not working for me.

jlotusd,
what do you use then?

I second the CR Spotless recommendation...it's really a pleasure to use. And it actually works! I think they are offering a 5% Club111 or Elisetalk discount, which should at least cover shipping.
Don't the Mr. Clean type systems cause build up due to the polymer soap?

What he said. Works great for me on all my cars.

I use it, but just for the final rinse. I like the Griots Car Wash more than the soap which comes with the kit, and the Griots doesn't work well going through the Mr. Clean sprayer ( too thick I think).
