Peter this is what he wrote on May 23rd. Why would it take more than a month for him to get those seals on and send it to you?
Also, most credit card companies will not honor a dispute for a charge over a certain amount of time. Usually 3 months or 6 months. I would check with you Credit Card company if I were you.

They mentioned that the Blue top was mine.
Still no top or anything else.
If this is a scam I will contact my credit card company to recover the $1200.00 Deposit.

Took personal delivery of my hardtop at SRM this morning. The photo on RR's website is my car:

The fit and quality of the top were as I hoped they would be. No rattles, unusual wind noise, etc. The windows fit tightly against the seals. Both sides of the top were painted - which was a pleasant surprise. I just assumed only the top side would be painted (Chrome Orange for me). I really like having the interior (bottom) side painted as it blends well with the interior of the car. As Brett stated, the tops come with factory hardware (packaged with "Lotus" logos). The delivery delay of the hardtop was directly related to delays in receiving the factory hardware. No one on this forum should be shocked that something with a Lotus logo experienced delivery delays. I received what I ordered, at the promised price, in the promised condition. Thanks Brett.

Hmm, I would have preferred to have the unpainted carbon fiber on the inside. But that's just me. Glad you like your hardtop! Post pics please!!!

Let me see if I have this right...
1) They were promised these hardtops months ago.
2) Brett went weeks without contact with his customers.
3) Brett has not responded to inquiries on this site since May 23; the same site he solicited for deposits.
4) Some were forced to contact their banks to request chargebacks.
Yeah, you're right. He deserves a big apology.

As of 7/17/06 I have noticed that only the CO Orange has been delivered and that looks like also to a customer who has the car being upgraded to 275RR turbo.
My metallic blue was painted months ago and still no contact from Brett- No updates the last few months etc. He still has my deposit. I really need the hard top so I can go and race some more.
I am expecting some sort of contact from Brett. I was really expecting the top back in April- this is July the last time I checked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The fabricator delivered your top to Brett on Saturday as well. It looked ready to ship.
I have a Forcedfed Turbo, not a RR275. The top is the only thing I have purchased from Brett.

Your tops are shipping and you will see them in a few days. Thanks again for the patience waiting on these seals to come in. David it was nice meeting you on Saturday and I hope you enjoy the top. You have a great looking car and a fast one with the Forcedfed turbo package on it. The actual carbon tops were finsihed, and painted months ago. I even posted, emailed pictures of the tops waiting on the damn seals. Unlucky for me and the customers waiting that Lotus did not have the seals in stock and took so long to get them to me.
