So - I have the Elise and winter is fast approaching so despite living in the balmy Bay Area, the hills of Tahoe will soon beckon. I've read about snow tires - check - but that leave getting the skis and snowboard up highway 80. So, what are the roof rack options for the Lotus?

I have an older rack, made by Bic (same as mentioned above) that works quite well. Just pulls across the hardtop. Think I bought it in the late 80's. Might check online.

i think its was sector 111 who offered a bike/ski rack. you'd have to drill, but when off, it comes with covers for the holes. It's not terrible looking.

Easy enough to get them mounted - use a clip on window rack. I tried mounting them this morning but I haven't driven the car with them on it. The rack worked great on my rx7 and a bunch of imprezas - I suspect it'd be fine for the drive to and from Tahoe.

oh wow... I forgot about those racks. I have a couple at my folk's place. I must have used them on 10-15 different cars. They work great!
