Who would be interested in seeing this come about? I got another mirror and figured out how it came apart. I think I can easily modify the mirror to accept the remote module and save the $200+ that other companies want for this rig

It has been done. Search the old threads. It always comes down to time and the quality of the product. Lets try to put another small company out of business. Great idea.

Not trying to put anyone out of business. Trying to come up with a way for DIY'ers to do their own stuff.
Some of us like doing that.

There are the DIY types, and there are those that would rather just pay for a ready-made solution. It'd be great if someone wrote up a good how-to for the DIY'ers out there; I don't think it'd take much business from retailers, if anything it'd just help promote the concept.

I did the 2way mirror but the v1 was self dimming and I could not see the display. I had A 1k resistor put inline with the photo sensor but it did not help. I finally gave up.
