Q:
I just received the Bollock shifter knob from Sector 111, which I like a lot. The problem is that the knob extends a little lower on the shift rod than the stock knob, so I cannot lift the reverse level far up enough to engage reverse, unless I first unscrew the knob a few turns. Have others had this problem? Is there an adjustment in the shift mechanism that will fix this?
A:
You can adjust the reverse lift cable.

Thanks... how?
A:
Stew,
It should work with no problem. No adjustments are needed. I'm running one with my Exige.
We'll send you another one.
A:
Thanks, I'll contact Sector 111 directly. The problem is that my Bollock has a deeper thread portion than stock so screws down deeper than the stock ball.
A:
So you screwed your Bollock deeper than intended?
A:
Just my $.02
You can cut some plastic shim stock ,or something similar, same size as the hole in the Sumo ball. Insert some in the hole and this will stop the Sumo ball from being screwed to deep.

Is that a joke?

That's true, but Sector 111 mentioned that it should not have happened and that it may be a manufacturing problem with that particular batch... they are looking into it.

An admittedly lame attempt...
