Shoot, I thought getting them off was the hard part. As I recall, I just lined up the base of the boot with the edge of the lip and pushed the clips into place with my thumb. I suppose you could spread the sides of the clips apart a bit to give a little less clamping force so they slide on a little easier.

hrmm? I found it pretty easy to remove and replace.. To remove I pulled on one side of the tab.. To replace I pushed them in.. Maybe I'm stronger than you

yes.. remove the boot by removing the console..

Oh yeah. I can't think how you'd get the boot on without having the console upside down.
