Q:
Anyone have the new Bride zodia seat in their elise yet?
Height, weight (of driver), praises or putdowns?
A:
no slots for 5point harness
A:
Yeah, that is kind of odd -- I suppose that's what a dremel is for.
Are they intended to work with stock belts or only er... whatever kind of belt would fit in two slots (haha).
Is there a website with more info (regardless of language, I'm sure somebody on here can translate...)
?

A neck loop?
A:
A neck loop?
I didn't want to be that blatant..
A:
I wonder how much lower are these seats... I wouldn't want a set of seats that puts me at an angle further away..
A:
You're right, there aren't any accomodations for a 5-point harness-- most Bride seats usually have that-- i must have overlooked it D'OH!. In retrospect, I think Bride may have some better small seat options for track use, like the Exas line.
I found it on this e-store:
http://www.more-japan.com/Bride-ZODI...y-p-17892.html
But the official page for the page (In Japanese) is:
http://www.bride-jp.com/products_lm_full_zodia.html

I found this particularly hilarious (most likely the fault of babelfish):
Driver's seat suicide seat common item turn (G061ZF) price 17,850 (substance price 17,000)
Seat position normal ratio ±0
Reading further down, it supposedly lowers the seating position by 30mm.
A:
What's the deal with Bride? When I was looking at getting a Scion XB that crowd was crazy nuts over having bride seats.
A:
They're essentially a Japanese Recaro.
They are a "preferred" brand among the Japanese auto enthusiast/tuning community, since they are the brand most visibly used in the majority of Japanese motorsports (albeit very little representation outside of that limited scope.) They have some FIA approved seats, as well as some other unique designs.
Bride in an xB? That's kind of pointless It was probably the "JDM Bling" factor, like reupholstering a car interior to Luis Vuitton.
I had a set of Bride seats in my Rx-7 TT-- loved them.
A:
It was always bride seats, and work wheels. If you had that combo with too narrow a tire stretched out to a wide rim I think half the crowd on the XB message board would mess their pants. lol.
A:
Anybody know the width of the seat?
Is there a US distributer?
A:
See picture above
410mm at the base, 490mm for the shoulder bolsters.
the company linked above seems to be the US importer, but it looks like they have a retail store network along with the online store, so i'm sure it can be ordered from any import tuner type shop.
I would expect a wait-- I waited a good 5 and a half weeks for my special Bride Artis seats (the right bolster was shorter, so I could access the shifter) to come in
/still wondering if anyone has the seat
//currently split on this, or another

Oooooohhh....Then there's a chance they'll come in 'Sumo' size also.......
