Gull Winged Yellowbird Survives Monsoon!

Q:
Was in Long Island for 'the 4th' and had my car parked
on the side-street near the home where I attended an
outdoor get-together. In the late afternoon the mild, dry
weather turned quickly into a downpour of heavy, wind-laden
rain that lasted about an hour. When it finally subsided I
visited the car and noticed that not a single drop had
entered the seating compartment. Also checked the trunk
and that too was bone dry. Any water that filtered its way
into the engine area......and out the openings in the bottom
undertray....left no problems in its wake. Car ran perfect for
the 30 mile trip home. Take that, El Nino!
A:
Be glad you had your top with you Ron... all I had was my shower cap! Not a drop inside either...
oops!

oops! I'm pretty quick with regard to getting the panels out
of the trunk and on the car but I should get one of
those shower caps and tuck it in the corner of my trunk.
P.S. - We don't allow it to rain in Brooklyn 'monsoon style'
like it does in Long Island. I believe it has to do with
payoffs to the rain god which the mafia collects in the
various Brooklyn neighborhoods.
