To answer your question about the 06's -- my Dad and I both got our cars, both of which are 2006 models, in the past few weeks and neither of them had those grills (thank god).

Nick -- did you paint them black or did Lotus deliver them in black? If the latter, I'm heading back to the dealer.

My '06 has Blaupunkt grills that look just like the '05s I've seen.

Sorry, those are hideous and don't match the Elise IMO. You can paint them black, or change to another speaker. When I saw the option of those, I opted for the Alpines.
I think the blend in well and they also work better. And they are cheap.
Those are pretty slick looking... remind me of the LSS wheels.

i like the new speaker grill covers, i called my local lotus dealer and he said they where on back order . does anyone know if i can get from another dealer who has them instock and will they ship them to me without seeing the car in person without charging me ?
