Oh crap! The harness bar I ordered from Sector 111 comes on Tuesday. I just got new rear spaekers put in and they stick out about 1/2 inch farther than stock. Will the bar still fit?

EDIT •••••••••••••• They may not fit with a 1/2" spacer. I was looking at the inboard clearance and saw room. Outboard the bar touches my not spacer speaker grill. I installed my 4-tress bar today. Nice piece. Took about an hour. Thanks to Sector111 for the quick delivery.

If you got the Race Harness Bar from Sector 111, you might need to do some alterations to the speakers and lower them a bit as they are almost if not identical to the Lotus but, if you went with the other ones (4-tress or Anti-Submarine), I do not think it's necessary to change anything.

Cool - you will love the micro mirror. I just put on the convex mirrors before last weekend and they are awesome. No more twisting my neck.
I should be around all weekend. I will trade for help with the Fujita. I haven't ordered it yet. Had to order new tires for the back before the track day. I had to go with the M tires. Hopefully I won't notice the difference.

I have the speaker dilemma too!! Just installed a set of Powerbass 6.5inch 3 series that needed a 1 inch spacer to fit and they are screwed into the rear valence. I really like the improved sound (3ohm also so more efficient) so what are my bar options that would be above or below the speakers. I'm 5 10 and sit with seat 4-5 clicks forward typically. Do I need to cut out the seats too??

so if i understand the write up correctly the 4tress seems to be the way to go if you dont want to cut up the interior plastic. does anyone have this bar who is UNHAPPY with it? I am going to order one in the next day or two, and i just wanted to see the reasons people might have for disliking it. it seems to be the obvious choice to me from the reading............. harness is on the way, and would like to put the bar/harness in before next HPDE day. the install time seems to be about an hour, anyone have any tips that they learned the hard way before i do the project. if someone has one they want to get rid of, PM me, i am in the market for one ASAP.

your shoulder height might be an issue. consensus appears to be that the belts are supposed to go straight back to the bar or down 10-20 degrees max. this puts the 4tress bar too high for for most folks. i'm 6'-4" and i opted for the beefy lower-mounted stock lotus bar. had to give up my stereo though . . . .

I am 5'11" you think the bar will be sitting at the right height? I have a steroe that is supposed to be really nice, it was upgraded by origonal owner. honestly i have never even turned it on. its an alpine cda 9853, and there are 4 rockford fosgate speakers. i think i should just yank the system out of the car anyway, now this would give me reason to do so............... anyone want to buy a supposedly nice stereo? no need for this stuff on the track.........
