Q:
Reading the past threads people here have had success with Rejex while others say that Rejex is great but does not last as long as Zanio.
Can we hear some opinions on what combonations work well with your Elise/Exige for waxes and/or anti-stain products?

Picking a wax/polish system is a complex procedure!
Every wax or sealant is a compromise of desired traits. There is no silver bullet, so it helps to identify what is important to you and evaluate particular products that way. Things like durability, ease of use, reflectivity, depth, slickness, etc. I've used tons and tons of products (as have others on this forum, such as tumbler), so there are probably a few products everyone keeps coming back to.
Also note that how good your car ultimately looks, is a result of how well the paint was prepared before using the wax or sealant. If protection is your goal, then prep is still important, but probably not as much so.
Let me dig up some old threads...

I have seen recommendations of Klasse All in One as a base, and Souverain (or Pinnacle?) wax over top. I like Klasse because it's easy.

Vantage turned me on to the zaino thing way back when I got my first Lotus. I've used loads of waxes and sealants over the year, hands down zaino worked best for me in terms of quality of shine AND longevity.
I just recently used rejex on the wheels only and was totally disappointed by it, brake dust didn't come off any easier than untreated and brake dust build up was same as untreated.
Have heard good things about Klasse but haven't tried.
A:
CRAP!!! I just got my 2 new bottles of Rejex! Have not tried it out yet.
A:
Rugby,
You may have better success than I did tho, so give it a shot. For me it's just not worth the effort of pulling the wheels, washing and rejexing for limited difference in brake dust buildup.

Zaino people are even worse than Apple users. Can believe a thing they say. So, I'm going to try the Rejex and let you know about brake dust and track rubber. Other experiences?
A:
zaino users are even more smug the hybrid drivers!!!

I use and am happy with Zaino on the Esprit, but I don't drive a hybrid

by far Zaino is more durable. I get around 6-7 mths with z5 x 1 and z2 pro x 3, both mixed with zfx, then hit with z8 every 2 or 3 weeks or so. The only other thing more durable but that has less "bling" is Collinite 845.
Rejex - offers instant bling and slickness which wears off anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks. It has less UV protection than zaino, but big wup right ?
In the end, it comes down personal choice. No one product or system is going to be "the best" as it purely subjective.
Both zaino and rejex are good products. Rejex is like WolfGang and UPP in that they go on and off extremely well. Zaino is a system which takes time to apply and remove as there is mixing involved and takes time to properly cure , and takes time to properly build up to by layering. Think of zaino as work in progress but the depth and shine over the long term are by far superior to rejex.
As per anything staining, I wouldn't worry about that as today clearcoats and carnuba's have come a long way from the days of those old rusty "simoniz" tins. Polymers in Zaino and Rejex will in no way harm your clearcoat.
But as I tell all my customers, its 90% prep, and 10% sealant/wax.
I hope this helps..

I have been using Klasse for many years on various cars with excellent success.
With respect to Zaino, I have a friend who completed an independent "test" with significant detail at the following link:

Deal,
Interesting writeup by your friend. I think degree of shine for any sealant or wax is highly subjective. I've used the Meguiar's as well as zaino. My feeling on zaino, tho harder to apply initially had much greater longevity than the meguiars. I find I can get about six months between applications of zaino. This is the thing i like as I'm just not a fan of having to wax every couple months.

Zaino people must be intelligent and be able to think for themselves, so I will have to run out and buy some.

Rejex will bead the water for 6 months, while the best results I got from Zaino is 3 months. Plus Rejex is much easier to use. Just wipe on and buff off. With Zaino you have to either apply it and waite a long time for it to dry or get some chemical to speed up the process which is costly and the results were not that impressive.
Rejex is used in the aviation industry to prevent exhaust gasses from staining the planes fuselage.
Rejex also works really well on my Boxster wheels, the brake dust just wipes right off.
cheers

I'm with Chris. Used Rejex on my wheels and although it was easier to apply and buff off than Zaino, I didn't notice any benefits of multiple applications on the wheels i.e. brake dust was still a pain to get off. I have not tried Rejex on the bodywork, primarily because I'm very happy with Zaino or P21S. I think zaino works better on lighter colors whereas P21S gives a deeper shine on darker colors.
In my opinion Zaino is worth the extra work twice a year.

Interesting test and results. I also found it interesting that Mr. Zaino didn't really address the question and answered with a comparison to Carnuba waxes, when your friend didn't use a Carnuba wax in the test.
Personally, Zaino may very well have some imperceptibly shinier finish or whatnot but I can't imagine investing the kind of time required to apply it. 6 hour waiting period between layers and layers of applications of different versions of the products... that is just nuts. You could spend all your time applying stuff to the car and never drive it.

I recently ordered a bottle of Rejex, and it's been sitting in the garage. After reading this thread about 2 hours ago, I decided I would go out and test it on a small part of the paint just to see how well it works. WOW, what a glossy glow! 2 hours an a dozen terry cloth rags later, I did the whole car and the wheels. Now it's almost 12:30am. I certainly didn't plan on waxing my Elise before bed, but I just couldn't stop. It made the Chrome Orange paint shine like it never has. I'm looking forward to seeing it in the daylight tomorrow. I don't know how long it will hold up, but I can say that it looks amazing right after application.

Mr. Heumann's stirred up quite the debate when he did it, roughly five years ago!
Zaino has made some strides since then. You can now do 3 coats back to back without waiting. It dries much faster and you don't have to use a myriad of different products. Z2Pro/ZFX is sufficient, but the others do help the final product. Still, it's not as easy as slapping on a P21S and wiping it off.
You may also find that spending 1-2 hours at once, to fully Zaino the car (or Klasse, or some other longer lasting sealant), will save you time down the road. My Elise by contrast gets quick 20 min. shots of Menzerna FMJ every month, though it does not last nearly as long. Spend the time now, or spend it later.
I have found that applying a product to the entire vehicle (or a larger panel) allows you to notice the subtle differences a bit better. With some training, you can definitely see the difference between a warm carnauba vs. a very reflective/flat acrylic. I think most people don't care too much and just want to do something quick to protect their finish.

Get ready to be amazed by this product. REJEX IS AWESOME!!!

I used Zaino for the first time last weekend and have to say that in my 20+ plus years of waxing and polishing cars with a myriad of brands, Zaino offers the shiniest finish by far.
A nicely waxed finish will always look nice. Zaino offers that little extra gloss and depth of color that you would never miss unless you see a Zaino'd finish.
I have not tried Rejex yet.
Has anyone used the two in combination???
