Q:
Has anyone found replacement mats for their Elise that they like?
A:
It needs to be a 'breathe-able' replacement right?
How much are the stock Lotus supplied ones anyways?
A:
Price from dealer is $80-90 a set I believe.

Gee I wonder why Hunting Ridge Motorsports charged me $130.00 That wasn't very nice
A:
That was the price someone here had said they bought them for, but could be wrong. In view of what Toyota charges for floor mats, even $130 is not obscene I guess

I have a set that are used 600 miles, they are dark blue and say Lotus(white) on them. $75 plus shipping if anyone wants them. PM me if so

I went to an auto parts store, bought a cheap oversized general set of mats, and cut them to the perfect shape for my Elise. Very inexpensive - work great, look fine! $20....

Did the edges shed? Or did you sew and edging over it like the stock mats?
A:
Just cut it with heavy scissors. Takes 3 seconds - we're talking rubber here... Edges are fine!!
A:
My plan is to get a set of stock black mats and have the edging in yellow, I know over the top, but he, what the hell!

Sounds nice!

I know I saw that Park Place had custom mats. I talked to Shannon Low and he mentioned that they could do custom colors (add different color borders and even stitch a word/logo on them). I think they intended for them to sit on top of the OEM set, but I don't see a reason why they couldn't cut/stitch the appropriate holes for the carpet buttons. They were $140 for the pair, though they may charge for extras (logos, borders, etc).
I was very temped.

Oh, I remember searching for it before but didn't bookmark it. Fortunately, I found it again...
It seems like GG Bailey will do custom mats for the Elise. I don't know about their quality (and they don't seem to do the cutouts for the carpet buttons), but you their custom mats run from $70 to $110 (depending on your level of customization). You can specify mat color, stitching color, heelpad option (and color), and even some logos.
Apparently, they're the folks that do work for "Pimp My Ride".

Aren't rubber mats a bad idea in an aluminum car?
Edit: this is what I was referring to:
A:
Rubber mats did cause issues in the S1 elises because of condensation buildup caused lots of corrosion, they had a limited recall on this in UK, probably not an issue if you check it frequently to make sure no condensation build up. but I'll stick with fabric myself.
