Magnolia Diamond Stiching Interior

Interior Exterior

Q:
My 06 KG Elise was delivered without the upgraded leather package and finally 2 1/2 months later I got it installed. I know this happened to other people as well. The leather change over only took about 2 hours for the dealer to complete. Below are some before and after pictures.
A:
A couple more...
A:
That is very classy. Have you had any problems keeping the Magnolia clean? I know the lighter stone interior on the Mercedes gets dirty if I look real hard at it. I like the color and the effect of the stitching though.
A:
No problems keeping it clean yet. But I clean it often. I specifically like the embroidered ELISE on the top of the seat.
I'm not sure if I like the entire console covered in magnolia. I was hoping there would be some black contrast.
A:
Ah, the upgrade is more than just stitching. Cool.
After dropping a piece of my CG lock and scratching the plastic center piece, I was glad I hadn't gotten it painted...
A:
Did they add padding to the seat?
and where did you have it done?
A:
They replaced the entire seat. If the new seat has more padding it is not very noticable. I can feel the pattern on my butt!
A:
Looks great! I love the magnolia color and the new stiching + console look wonderful.
A:
Thanks!
A:
What did it cost? If I may ask. You are in NJ and so am I. I'm thinking of having the console done.
Thanks!
A:
as I recall it was $1295 but you had to buy either the premium pack or the touring pack to get it.

A:
To each his own... But it was much better before.
OMG NO!!! I JUST SAW A CUPHOLDER THERE!!!!!!! OMG OMG OMG
Come on man! i mean cupholders... in an elise... ffs, chapman would kill you
A:
Do you know whats happening with the old interior? Do you have it by any chance? If so I'd be willing to take it off your hands.
A:
Not sure, the dealer kept it. Do you think they will have to send it back to Lotus?
A:
Which dealer was it?
A:
Dealer probably waited for a magnolia leather, quilted stitching car to come in and just swapped interiors. BTW, you need touring in order to get one of the quilted stitching (rectangle or diamond).
A:
The dealer is Sports and Specialty Cars in Hopewell, NJ. In the service department you can ask for John or Leon.
A:
I love the diamond stitching!!! Old school feel to it.
A:
That looks great! Congrats.
A:
Man, that looks beautifull, especially with the Krypton Green. I agree about the fear of stains...but WOW!
(sorry, I'm trying to keep it off the seats)
