Stock Toe Hook - Painted Bright Red

Interior Exterior

Q:
My son and I did an easy project this weekend. We painted the stock tow hook (the black ring/bolt thing in the tool kit) bright red and now have it installed on the car. Borderline blingey, but it is stock and does work. We used Testors model paint #1103 Red with some white under it as a base. The finish came out very smooth / shiny and all brush marks vanished.
(Edit..revise toe to tow, d'oh!)

I think i am going to paint my international orange, i am afraid the worst will happen and it won't get noticed on day... as it is - i keep forgeting to take it off as even I never see it!

I did the same thing a couple weeks back...came out well but decided it was just too damn small to look right! As much as I did not want to spend $25 on a larger 2 inch hook...I did and it looks much better.

I did the same, but then added 3-4 lights coats of DupliColor Clear Coat to further protect the red paint.
A month later stills looks great.
