I'm about to buy a new '05 that has a Biscuit interior. I would prefer Black. Is there anyone who would like to trade? Yes, I mean the black leather touring seats and door panels.
A:
Don't do it. I live in Florida and drive my Elise with the top off as much as possible. The car's interior gets hot easily with the engine behind you, aluminum frame with little insulation, and ac system that has a hard time fighting the Florida heat. The lighter color interior will be more comfortable for you with the sun beating down on you in southern California. I have a Phantom Black Elise with the Magnolia leather interior. I would highly recommend keeping the Biscuit interior, even though the black interior looks sporty and sharp. - Dean

There are still many new 05 out there, why go thru the trouble. Just look for a black interior car to begin with.
