Q:
Anyone know if it's possible and not too complicated to exchange a Exige passenger seat for the Elise driver seat? I know that the exige pass seat is fixed like in the elise and I would want it to move backward and forward.

What are You up to Chad?

What a good idea. where's my "perfect exige note pad?"
Plenty of broken elises out there. I know mine's out there in the ether somewhere.
Are you thinking of mounting the Elise driver's seat in the passenger side? Or swapping them out and having two drivers seats in the Exige?

Yes, it will work. You just need to swap mount hardware (drivers/passenger).
The Exige and Elise use the same seat mount hardware.

Even if you have another driver seat installed on the passenger side, wouldn't the angle of the center console prevent the seat from moving anyway?

The seats are the same, only the mount rails are different.
All you need to do is swap the mount hardware.

I like the fact that the passenger seat is set all the back. I never got why people need to change thier seat position if they are a passenger. I always move the seat all the way back when I ride shotgun, theres no reason to be closer to the dash than needed in the event of an accident.
Can u find the part numbers for the driver side mounting brakets and just order them instead of getting a whole new seat? (why sacrifice all that additional side bolstering)

I thought this was the case as well, if you can mount driver rails on the passenger side. There wouldn't be enough room to slide the seat forward and backwards, but I haven't looked...

To reach things like radio, climate controls, etc. Also it's more comfortable for people with short legs to be able to rest their feet on something, which may not be possible if the seat is all the way back. Depending on the car, of couse.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but how much are Exige seats?
A:
I've heard they were around 3k for the pair but take that with a grain of salt
