Just thought I'd update. I finally purchased a couple of sets of Focal speakers for my car. The ones I purchased were the 100-CV1 (4 inch)for the front and the 130-CV1 (5 inch)for the rear. I had read a previous posters install and wasn't able to locate the 135-CV1 (5 1/4") he had sourced as they have been discontinued. Another problem I experienced was trying to purchase them thru europe. The european prices were 1/3 the cost of the ones here in the states. State side dealers wanted 3 times the price and it seemed no one had them in stock. Every european company I contacted would not consider shipping them to the USA because of the customs paperwork involved (also, most places will not accept the credit card but want bank transfers only). I even offered to double the cost of shipping to pay for "handling fees" but to know avail. I finally purchased them from a company called woofers etc. online in Cali. The price was very reasonable compared to other companies I had checked with although I was very sceptical when I read there return policy (you can't). The 100-CV1's were a drop in fit as were the 130's. I was prepared to do some modifiying for the 130-CV1's for the rear since I wasn't gonna be able to return them but they fit perfect! No mods, not even new screw holes!!! And the sound? Mucho better! I would definitely do it again. Just know that the stage II will still drown out the music above 5K and the sound stage pretty much sucks in the Elise.
As a side note: The harness bar that Sector111 sells makes for a tight fit for the Focal speaker grills in the rear. They fit but just a barely.

Zoomie, Thanks for the update!
I'm going through exactly the same process you went through. Knowing about Woofers etc. and that the 130's fit perfectly is a tremendous help. Thanks again.

For a direct "drop in", I installed Infinity Reference 4012i (4" Round) in the front and Infinity Kappa 52.7i (5.25" Round) in the rear. Both are 2-way and the sound is significantly better even with the Bluajunk HU. www.cardomain.com has them pretty cheap.
I just installed these today. It's about an hour's work. You need a few tools to start. I used: offset screwdriver (it's called a scew-driver) philips head #2. Flat headed screw driver. Pliers, wire cutter, electrical tape.
Three are easy. Front two just pop in no problem. You can get them done in 10 minutes each. Back ones are a bit harder. You want to position your self in the pray to the engine position on the seat facing the speaker. Arms around the seatback. Remove just the grill and remove the four screws. Start with the bottom ones then the top ones.
***** Caution point, watch out for the metal brackets that hold the screws into the plastic...they want to fall off. This happens as you pull the speaker out.
You cut the connectors off the back speaker wires. Red connects to the white and black wire, the black wire to the black and gray wire. Twist them on well and tape. The crossover network has to be mashed down into the back. You need to work your fingers into the hole, push down and back opening up some space in the insulation back there. You need to work the network into the space. It fits well actually.
Do the driver's side first to practice and see what you are doing. You can do the passenger side without removing the seat, but you'll want practice first.
Sound upgrade is awesome. Still needs some bottom end, but it is no longer flat and clipped.

Go and get a diamon setup. Its very clear and works perfect. Looks pretty much stock except you have the diamon sticker. I have that with a 10 inch sub right behind both seats. Works great. I can blow away most cars with the setup i have going.
