I need more downforce but don't want to shell out $1000 + for a new diffuser
with deeper vanes. I'm thinking of having someone fabricate extensions for the stock piece. Probably about 2-3" deeper and longer, following the oem contour and mig welded in place. Anyone try this?

I have a PB carbon fiber aftermarket wing on my Elise. at the dealership on wed. the service manager pointed out this may mess up the balance of the car and make the front light at speed(on the track)............... just shareing what he said about changing the areodynamics of the car with "non stock" parts.

True, I will ultimately balance this with the GUT splitter.
