Alright, alright! You have all helped me decide and I'm going with the GUT Sport all the way.
A:
Just a side note, but I know two people with the GUT fiberglass splitters. Both have hit objects that would have done a good amount of damage to the OEM front clam. One a pretty big rock in the road coming around a turn at speed. The other drove over a speed bump a little faster than he should have (with me in the car). Both came out pretty unscathed. Not that I recommend hitting anything with the splitter, but it's nice to know that it's not fragile. Most of the CF splitters I've seen look like they would shatter under any impact (not speaking from experience on the last statement JMHO).
One other thing that I noticed. The PB wings mounted on the rear deck, seem not as solid due to the nature of the cushyness of the deck itself. Push down on your rear deck to see what I mean. I don't know how that effects the properties of the downforce of the wing. But the GUT wing is very stable. Distributing the force across a large portion of the rear clam.

When I have a question regarding an item that I am interested in, I call the manufacture or dealer who represents it. So far I've called Italy, England, Japan and Taiwan. I always found someone that I can communicate with. Therefore, I think you simply misunderstood my point. All I was trying to do was to respond to your question since I have spoken to them and it is always the best to talk with someone from the source.
If you are a customer of Sector111, why didn't you ask them in the first place? I don't work for them. I am a customer of them just like you!

One of the purposes of this website (I hope) is to learn from others about particualr issues with the Elise. It doesn't make much sense to tell someone to contact the manufacturer in Japan, or the vendor in California, if you know the answer(s).
As an active member of this board, why not just give us the fruits of your knowledge on kidcool's questions on both the "install right" and "engineered with that in mind" question(s)?

Not sure I understand your point. I've had no issues with engine access, besides, I'd rather have to move to one side or another (which I would anyway, as working over the trunk doesn't seem to make much sense) then have a wing which doesn't function as I want it.

If your answer was to contact the manufacturer vendor, I do not see why you responded to the initial inquiry saying the GUT wing had to be "installed right" with no elaboration whatsoever, and did not answer how the wing was "engineered" with water in mind. To essentially respond, "hey contact some dude in Japan" is a waste time and would have been almost insulting if it had been response to my inquiry.
That is about as smart as saying, "problem with the engine in your Elise, call the Toyota facory." Yeah, that's the ticket, "I could answer your qurstion, but I want you to call some unidentfied person in another country."
My two cents worth. But I would like to know as well.

Perhaps, but when I said "function as I want," I was referring specifically to the mounting method. The GUT is the only wing I've seen on the market which spreads downforce across the clam rather than simply onto two points.
Accessing the boot has not proved any more difficult than previously. One thing I might add for micro-mirror users who have complained about the lack of a night dimming function: The wing is mounted at the perfect height to block out Range Rover/Hummers!!

You probably get up to 30% impedence, but you adjust quickly and it's no big deal, especially compared to the Exige

Even with the micro mirror, it doesn't seem to be too much of a hinderance. Might even be at the right height to block headlinghts at night.
