Q:
Might even be at the right height to block headlinghts at night.
Actually, it is! Hummers and Land Rovers bother me no more!!!

I wouldn't get a wing personally, but IF you are going to get one then the one on Serebo's car is the better one IMO. I like the fact that it looks more sleek and blends with the car better. It's not way up in the air and in your face.
I do think that it mounts really nice from the pics and it's subtle

Hmmm...the front GUT spoiler, for the two holes you must drill underneath - that is into the front clam? Is there a bracket or something on the other side of the front clam or those screws are self tapping? I would think there is at least a washer and nut on the other side of the clam.
I like the front GUT spoiler in fiberglass because of 2 reasons - primarily because it looks like it can protect the front clam from scuffs and minor damage (saw the previous post in this thread stating it can take small hits) and of course serves a function of keeping the front end down at speed. The scuff guards from Lotus requires 8 holds to be drilled while this option only requires 2 holes and provides more coverage and does not look bad.
The problem is, I do not like any wing on the Elise's rear end as I'd like to keep it's classic lines untouched. If I had to put one I do like the GUT rear wing but I wonder how bad it would be to just put the front GUT fiberglass spoiler and not add a rear wing. Yes I realize that maybe it will become unbalanced but I have read that the rear wings do not really add that much downforce? My reasoning is that the engine is already back there for weight.

I have not seen in person a rear wing on an Elise. Question with a rear wing does the Elise appear to be shorter in length or longer in length?
A:
I don't think the front splitter wouldn't look bad by itself but, as it's been stated, could cause balance issues. I was told not to do one without the other or something comparable. Honestly, it's hard to tell how much downforce is added solely by the rear spoiler but, as a whole, the car feels much more stable with both (not that it was bad in the first place) at higher speeds.
As far as looks go, I'm very happy with the way the lines of the spoilers match the car but in person, in my opinion, does make the car look a bit shorter. Not bad, but enough to make me think about it when I read the question.

The nice thing about the GUT wing is that if you don't like it, it can be removed without leaving visible holes in the clam exterior or deck lid.
I'm late to this thread, but I suppose it's wishful thinking to use this just for track weekends? I could see leaving the front splitter in place for daily driving.
UPDATE:
Tape and screws are involved. The screws might not be a big deal, but "removable" and "securely taped" seem mutually exclusive.
Also, both pieces are primered in white. That adds cost. Phooey. Black primer would probably have been fine.

They work fine on my track car especially since installing the LE T300 Turbo. The car is really fast and really stable.

this was posted in another thread too, but may be relevant here to help those on the fence see how the GUT looks. nb: there was a GUT wing on another car at the track that was starting to crack right above the mounting pylon, so they aren't 100% in their construction yet.
