Q:
I am trying to figure out what the little flat "L" shaped pieces do and EXACTLY how they are supposed to go in under seat rails. Someone said these provide a stop for the drivers seat, but I can't figure out how that is possible if they are completely under rails. Can anyone enlighten asap - I want to get my car back together. Do they go in as in picture - small leg of "L" pointing to rear and hole towards center of seat, or some other config????????
I thought the were simply shims raised the back of seat so seat would slide easier, not stops
A:
The L things only purpose are as slide stops. They sit on top of the seat rails, so from bottom to top it's chassis, seat rail, L thing, bolt head.
Some discussion here; scroll down and look at the diagram:
A:
They sit inside the tracks and just stop the seat, as previously mentioned...
Glad you got to the point where you are re-installing everything!
