Very nice! The thread title is great. I actually guessed what you had done when I read it. Did you consider filling the rear seam lines also? If mine ever gets crunched, I'll probably do the same along with removing the license plate plinth and removing or replace the side marker lights. BTW, Polar Blue looks really nice!

It's amazing how much better it looks with that seam filled in!
A:
Yep, my eye has been bothered by that front seam ever since I realized that was what made the Exig look so much better. The lack of the Lotus emblem on the front kind of makes it look weird to me though. Awesome.
A:
i saw your car the other day driving down wilshire in beverly hills, i just caught the colour and the window sticker before it zipped past, i was sitting up at 2 rodeo eating and watching the paris hilton mob, last wednesday or thursday i think.
yeah the seam looks great now, a lot of people have commented on the exiges lack of a seam there too, looks much better
A:
I really didn't understand what that line means when I took the car apart. It's pretty much ONE piece, or should I say- it's not like you can seperate into two piece. Since my car has been slightly hit from the front, I decide to mold it in one and paint the whole thing.
As for the rear, if anything happen, I'll mold and paint the rear too!!
The emblem will be back on there again. The black emblem I bought from Sector111 has been scratched up, time to get new one!! We will see it soon!!
charliex, I didnt' know you live around the area, what color is your car?? we should hang out and talk about Lotus some time. There isn't that many Lotus around in Cali. Although three of my friend bought the elise recently, I no longer feel alone any more. But they are jumping into Lambo pretty soon.
A:
i have a chrome orange exige and a red m100, my dentist is over that way but i live in the valley now, i've got to go again today and its raining so i don't get to check out my new alignment.
serebo and a few others are close to you, hes down by the beverly centre, theres at least 20 cars in that general area. check out the local los angeles threads for meeting times and what not. if you haven't already been on one of the sunday drives, dinner meetings or various other things (eurosunday, crystal cove) you should come along.

Very, very nice. I will be doing this mod when I'm ready to repaint.

Hey Tony,
I second what Charlie said. We have in LA what I consider the most active and possibly closest Elise community in the US. And with the addition of the San Diego owners probably one of the largest. There's rarely a day of the week that I don't talk to someone that owns an Elise. FYI, there is a Club 111 autocross day on the 8th many of us will be attending. And of course there's our infamous Sunday Drives. Check out the Meet and Event section here on Elise Talk for upcoming gatherings.
I Love what you did to the car BTW.
See you soon,
Jacob

What am I missing.. I don't see anything (or is that the point?)

Front looks excellent.
You have great taste in colors
A:
It's probably a little quicker and you'll get better gas mileage too ! really beautiful job !

Hint - look for the missing seam on the front (or were you kidding?).
A:
Are you going without a badge too?
A:
Murph, you also have that polar blue. Cool, I'm not alone anymore. Shinoo also have that color for his Exige.
steuspeed, I have the badge, just decide which one I should put back....the black or the yellow!! I was wondering if they make a black one for the rear??
A:
Here are the different on the bumper
A:
also, the front grill is no longer there anymore! something else will be there pretty soon!!
I think the only reason why there is this line on the bumper is because incase you get a scratch or hit somewhere in the front, instead of painting the whole thing, all you need to paint is either the top or the bottom. Save money, and labor. Beside that, I really don't see any benefit form it!

That's actually incorrect. The front clam is actually two pieces that are bonded together to form the one piece clam. I've seen a couple of front and rear end post accident clams that have split at the seam.

I have the black front badge from Sector 111 on my car (BPR). To my knowledge a black rear badge doesn't exist. I have a rear yellow badge for the back that I haven't put on. I'm waiting for Trickster to send me black wheel cap centers and have ordered a couple of extras. I'm hoping one will look good over the yellow rear badge. I'll post pics when they get here and if they look good. Cross your fingers black badge fans.
