One Piece Elise!! New mod.

Interior Exterior

Q:
Hint - look for the missing seam on the front (or were you kidding?).
NOPE wasn't kidding.. but nice.. I see it now.. That's sweeet.. Although I honestly think I LIKE the seam.
Ryan
Still looks sweet since it's an Elise.
A:
Tony, I really wish I would have done this mod, but how will they apply the StarShield now?

A:
That's actually incorrect. The front clam is actually two pieces that are bonded together to form the one piece clam. I've seen a couple of front and rear end post accident clams that have split at the seam.
Correct, if you look at UberClam thread, you can see the seam inside where there is a large overlap of the two sections.
I am still debating doing this... getting rid of the visual seam on my car. More work vs clean lines. More painting.

A real "UberClam" would not have a seam!
A:
Arghhhhhh!!!!

Thank you so much for pointing that out. I had never noticed that seam but now it looks imperfect. Seriously, very nice! I had noticed the horizontal seams on the sides and thought it would look good to fill those.
A:
That's really cool! It looks much cleaner. The Exige also does not have as much seams as in the Elise.

Arghhhhhh!!!!
So how is the Uberclam progessing? Bill was boasting on Sunday that as he was the one who took it apart, he won't put your car back together without a raise.
Seeing your clam and the slow damage caused to it by not having it fixed earlier made me get off my ass and take my car up to SCC. They seem to be working on about 5 elises at the moment. They really are becoming the elise bodywork experts.
A:
Bad news. The wheel inserts has a smaller radius than the clam badges. So it won't work with the Sector111 curved rear badge unless you don't mind a yellow ring around it. It's really to bad the inserts I got from Trickster are really high quality.
