Q:
Has anyone investigated in getting a generic flip key from an aftermarket alarm and reinserting the Lotus electronics in it? It looks like there are some generic keys out there that you could cut to match the Lotus key.
I loved the old keys my Audi came with. Sure was convenient and fit nice in the pocket.

I'm always a little skeptical of projects being worked on and getting a final delivered product. I saw the rise of the B5 Audi, and with it a lot of things that were to come out, but never did. All were great ideas, but for various reasons, a lot of them never made it off the ground.

Me too! The Lotus key was a bit of a shock (seemed low rent) when I first saw it.
