Just about every panel on the Exige is different than the elise. You would be better off and cheaper to just buy an Exige....

I agree. The Elise S1 is better. The lights on the US Elise are a little out there. What I really want is a gullwing door for the Elise. (Or the Exige that I am waiting on)

I agree, the lines on the S1 appeal to me. I even cancelled my order for an S2 because of it.
I have looked into trying to import an S1 , and it would appear to be hopeless . (at least if you were to follow the law )
I am wondering if anyone ever tried to adapt the front clam from an S1 to fit on to a federalized S2.
Might make an interesting project.
