Q:
First off I suck at photoshop so please forgive me...lol
Im getting the new CF lip from sector111 soon..its not available yet but Im getting teh first one. So basically I really love CF but think it might break up the lines of the car and make it look cheap..should I just color match the lip and paint it green?
A:
If you do paint it, you won't have the weave showing through like you do in your pictures. It would be color-matched to the rest of the car and nobody would know what expensive fibers it was made out of.
Depends on whether you want it to stand out or blend in. If you do paint it, then why buy carbon fiber? Seems like the fiberglass ones would have been just as well.

I am a big fan of CF, but The green looks much better. Looks more like it was designed with the car. IMHO. BTW did you buy those tires?

Paint it although place some maskings on the front panel in the center. Like the Lotus Sport logo with a siloette of the body lines. Then remove the masking after the paint is applied. Then the logo will show the carbon material enuf to show it is a carbon part. I would then have a hand painted pinstrip trim on the edge of the mask. Only like 2mm thick to cover the paint edge (as it will look a bit rough fromt he mask).

we mocked up that splitter on my car last weekend. I have a BRG car, btw. It looked very nice in bare carbon. I would recommend leaving it that way.

That was my Elise in the pictures before the BBQ

Interesting spoiler, I'd be curious to see the original pics, before the photoshoping....
A:
BTW I can't tell for sure in these pics, but it's pretty big I think I'd paint it to match....
A:
You asked for opinions....I wouldn't put it on at all.....it doesn't fit the contour of the car.

Yeah thanks for the replies guys. Reason why Im getting it is it squares off the front end. I hate the elise front end..looks to roundish and insect looking. This sqaures it off a bit. But Im scared it will look tacky if I leave it unpainted because it will look like this huge add on piece since its not a dainty spoiler.
I usually get very mild oem looking lips on all my cars but I feel the need to square this front end off kinda like the exige
A:
do better illustrate my point this is a pic of a s1 exige.
The s1 also has a very rounded insect look but not as much as the s2.
The lip pictured squares it off a bit and IMO looks great
