Elise stripes - next step

Interior Exterior

Q:
I'm ready to do something fun to my car. How about some silver stripes?
Anyways, just curious if anyone in the bay area has done this to their car. I have been warned it is very difficult and only a professional should attempt.
I'm looking for recommendations. Please advice.
Thanks

I've been having a hard time getting an appt. now that I work here. Probably tomorrow though I need to get 2 year service done and there's a bolt flying around in my door that drives me crazy. And I think my speakers might be blown in the back.
A:
Does this mean that no one in the bay area has put racing stripes on their Elise? I thought I saw a yellow one with black stripes in the shop.
A:
The more I look at this stripe the more I like it.
A:
You could just trade yours in on a Sport Elise. They already have stripes!
...uh, just trying to be helpful....
On a more serious note, someone here was selling vinyl stripes that you could
"try out" on a semi-permanent basis. I think you could probably do
a search for "vinyl stripes" and maybe locate that post.

There was that one guy that had all those crazy glow in the dark strips in the bay area. Don't remember his sn or who he mentioned did it but maybe someone here does.
A:
The white and the red looks sweet. I wonder what it would look like on my car. Glow in the dark sounds cheesey, but dope, and something silly ole' me would do, lol. Here's what I had in mind. (Pictures courtesy of fellow ET member)

I would loo at trying to do the red one in silver on your car.... I like that one a lot - it looks good wher things get different at the boot lid and between the front grills
A:
Etalker pw378 has silver stripes on his mag blue Elise though I believe he bought it used with the stripes already on it.
edit: his elise might he nightfall blue - I am not quite sure about the difference between the two colours.
Andy from Stickercity sells vinyl stripe kits in pretty much any colour you can think of.

I have a NFB Elise as well, and I've thought about silver stripes... but there's something about it that just doesn't look quite as good as some of the other combos (green/yellow, red/white). I'm thinking that if I get stripes, I might stick with basic white, or perhaps white with some colored pin stripes, perhaps red. Get the calipers red and the engine cover red and it might look pretty good. Gold would really set it off, but you'd definately need gold rims to go with it... and that's not a look I would personally like. Have you thought of any other color combos?
A:
The more I look at this stripe the more I like it. +1 looks very nice

What's your interior color?
You may want to match that.
If it's black though, you're free and clear to mix it up with another color.
I saw a laser blue car with two CO stripes. Stunning, my all time favorite!

I think she's looking for installation advice in the Bay area.

I think I like the white stripes better than the silver. I'm also not nuts about how they continued the stripe on the vertical (forward facing) part of the rollbar cover. My $ 0.02.
PS, I'm sure you could easily photoshop those stripes to try other color combos.

I think she's looking for installation advice in the Bay area. You coule buy the kit from Sticker city and have the Premier mobile group (http://www.premiermobilegroup.com/) do the install. They are the best installers of clear bras in the bay area.

Our Elise and Exige strips... the Elise has mat black strips

My interior is Biscuit, but I may be swapping to black this weekend. Eventually I want to do black, although SFC VXN says that red and blue look cool together, so who knows. Not in my budget to buy new seats so unless someone wants to swap, not happening any time soon.

I really like the silver. White is to cliche for me. Thanks for the cents. I would be curious what it would look like with one stripe down the center like the red car. Unfortunately no photo shop skills for me

That's what I'm planning to do (Sticker City). We have a company that comes in and does the 3M paint protection, and I think it's Premier Mobile, I'll have to look into it. But do you think clear bra installers can do stripes just as well?
A:
Here are the Elise Sports Racer UK special edition cars. Note the white mirrors like on a mini cooper. Ths single stripe is a bit wider and is filled in around the radiator bridge. Personally I like the smaller stripe as is falls nicely with the front license plate block and the rear cyclops brake light.
I would lean towards silver over white especially with the biscuit interior. I think I would try to match the wheel color also.
A:
Racing green with soft gold mono stripe and the previously mentioned laser blue with chome orange. Soft gold might actually look pretty nice with your biscuit interior. Just another idea.
