CF Parts that no one is making

Interior Exterior

Q:
Has anyone made, or making carbon fiber replacements for the front grills over the radiator, and for the rear grills over the engine. The Sector111 part for front grill has more than the grill itself, and the rear engine cover is the WHOLE cover but appears to actually just use the OEM grill itself. I just want the louvered part in CF, front and rear? Anyone know if this exists or if anyone is working on it??
A:
We can make them. What will buyers pay?
A:
Ohhhhh those would like nice, and solve the wax problem. (I know I know, a can of krylon will too)
TSI- I love those carbon sills- was just checking them out on Ebay. Any chance of getting a group buy? For like $400? Well one can dream anyway right. lol.
A:
Interior door "handles" too (pieces at the TOP of the door). The door panels are available (but $$$). It would be nice to have the entire door match textures.
A:
OH YES, I would LOVE to have ALL of the black exterior trim peices done in shiny clearcoated CF. That would be BEAUTIFUL. Excellent idea!
I know little to nothing about laying up carbon fiber, but wouldn't the complicated shape of the louvers be hard to do, which = very expensive?
A:
Yes, the louvers are difficult. We have been considering a CF surround with mesh for the engine cover.
A:
What about an aluminum frame that would make the platform for the louvers, then riveting flat carbon pieces to it (tilted up on the angle like factory of course) for the louvers. Could look very cool and be easier to manufacture than trying to do the whole thing from carbon.
A:
Shop Indy - trying to PM you but it says your box is full. What I would be after is making the existing exterior parts on the Elise in carbon fiber vs. plastic.
