Q:
I understand that a new tray divider is available for the 2006 model year. Anyone know if this part can be purchased separately and dropped into 2004/05 Elises?
A:
Seen this before. Pretty cool. Do we have that notch cut out for the axle component of the piece? Have to go take a look, but I don't think we do...
A:
what is the point of this?
Can someone give me an example of it's use?
A:
We do have the channel, it's in all of the cars. Also note the black rubber mat below it, I would think that you'd need both.
You can slide it around to hold in the various items that you or your passengers put in the tray. Seems like a pretty good idea to me.
A:
One of those little black sticky pads from office max is unbelievable for keeping things put.
A:
I like it. You could slide it over to pin the items in the *ahem* "glove box" and keeping them from sliding back and forth. Sometimes, I'll hear a rattle and realize it's the few things I have in the tray sliding back and forth. It looks pretty cool, too.

I'd like to affix an easily removable, custom cup (and/or iPod) holder to the stowage tray. As JnC suggested in another thread, this looked like a perfect solution. I might also try converting it to a deli slicer down the road.

Deli slicer sounds cool. Lucksta apparently is volunteering his fingers. Any other takers?
A:
I lined mine with some black rubber shelf "paper" from Lowe's. Non-adhesive.

Lotus will probably have giant ones to serve as posts around their displays at the next auto show.
