Floor Mats

Interior Exterior

Q:
I replaced the carpet with these mats. They are rubber which has been kind of nice with the wet weather we have been having.
Also replaced the cheap little plastic "screws" with the metal ones from Sector 111 - The old ones were always popping out - No problems with the new ones.
Thoughts?

Very nice. Where did you order them from and how much? How durable do you think they are?
A:
Do keep an eye on moisture buildup under those mats. Lotus had to change the floormats to a "breathable" type since moisture under the S1 mats was causing aluminium corrosion. The various services also list "removing and drying the floormats" as a separate item on the checklist. I'm sure there are threads about it on the forums

Great info, thanks!

Seem to be very durable - I've had them in for about a month.

Only $50.
The carpet buttons from Sector 111 are nice also :

Thanks for the reference. Are you glad that you got black, or would you rather have ordered tan or grey?
Your interior looks spotless. Do you drive your car?

Thanks for the info. Initially I thought it was perforated from the look in your picture. Maybe you can drill some holes to make it "breathable"?

I got a set, but they didnt fit right. The holes for the buttons had to be enlarged, and the passenger side was too wide by about 1/4". Both were easy to fix in about 15 mins.

Yes, I had the same problem - Had to do some quick mods to make it fit right.

I'm happy with the black. I think a lighter color would get too dirty for me.
I keep the car pretty clean, although it is my daily driver. I've only had it for about 4 months and 4k miles though.
