My wife got that for me off of Ebay. You can't buy them directly from Waffle House. I know, I've tried.
A:
The $250 "black pack" option in '06 gives black wheels and a black diffuser.
A:
I may be the only one, but I like it the color it is. It is an interesting feature on the rear of the car, and I feel it should stand out a little IMO.
Me too. Silver wheels and all. But.....the black difuser does look good.
I'm confused now.

I just saw this option on a silver at rothrock. Not bad. Like the black difuser, I'll keep the wheels silver.

I don't get it. What's so special about Waffle House? I've never been in one, and I can't imagine what they do to make it a bizzare experience which is so good that people are buying license plate frames off eBay to put on their very attractive cars. Please enlighten me.

There's nothing too special about them. Just a typical southern greasy spoon. They're all over the south like fleas on a wild dog. Good hang over food. The waitresses are uglier than home made shoes and dumber than a sack of hammers. But its good, cheap food.

Also, I can't confirm the validity, but I heard that they know the financial model of a single waffle house unit so well that if a particular unit is very profitable and can't meet customer traffic flow, they'll open one up right across the street rather than expand of open a bigger one. That's why you sometimes see four waffle houses on a given intersection.

So back to the original question, why are you buying license plate frames off ebay and putting them on your elise? Why not Denny's, McDonalds, Target, etc. etc.
A:
Question for those who have switched to the dark side. What did you do with the rubber stripping along the edge of the diffuser?
Leave it off
paint it
replaced it with black - if this is the case what did you use and wear did you get it?
Thanks,
Jacob

Ah, I see. I eat at Waffle House about once per week.

You're hung over that often.....Wow!
A:
They come from the factory black...
On the Exige!
On the Elise too. (Black pack: diffuser & wheels, $250)

What about that trim we saw at Pep Boys? I think I want to replace mine with black trim. You can take a look at it - as will I - when the silver rubber is off.

Mick loves the Waffle House for the women! He's like Norm from Cheers when he walks in...They all know him by name.
I've got graphite gray and painted my diffuser with flat black engine manifold paint. It wasn't a big job and it hasn't chipped at all. You just need to clean and scotch brite it before painting.
A:
I'd love to hear more about what people have done about the grey edge guard. My diffuser is in getting powder coated right now, so I need to start looking for a black replacement.

I think I'll try this. Did you use a primer coat?
A:
There. I've gone and done it.
I couldn't find any black edging that was the same as the stock silver edging... in addition:
- it's not sharp and is well finished
- i save 2oz.
- aerodynamics has a clean path that doesn't "bump" against the edging
Oh, I spray painted the attachment hardware with black paint before reassembly so that there wouldn't be a handful of silver "dots" across the back...
I know... I know...
Enjoy!
