Q:
i am trying to install a 6pt harness with subbelt through a slot cut in an exige seat using titanium dave's antisubmarine bar. i have the schroth harness install guide and i can see how to properly wrap the belt around the bar but when i test fit it (prior to actually cutting the slot), the belts and slides do not look anything like that shown in the attached pic by evil twin.
can anyone who has done a sub belt install provide some guidance?

I wouldn't wrap the belts around the cross brace (seat frame). I cut a hole with a torch & ground it down. But that's me...
I expect that either implementation would be fine. What doesn't seem right to you ?

what doesn't seem right is the way they belts lay down after i cinch them tight to the bar. and then it seems like the length adjusters will be right at my crotch when i am all done.
anyway, did your sub slot end up being in front of, straight through or behind the corrresponding crossbrace in the seat itself? were your sliders above the bar as shown in the pic or below the bar as mine seem to be? i can post pics of my dry fit tomorrow. have any pics of your install?
