Does anyone have a good interior shot?

Interior Exterior

Q:
I am currently deciding on wether to get the touring pack or not.
Does anybody have good comparison pics? Can you retrofit the carpets ?
A:
I think the carpeting in question is the strips that run along the lower length of the side sills and the carpeting under the seats.
Personally, I don't care for the side carpeting (just something else to hold dirt in an awkward spot to vacuum). IIRC the radiator plumbing goes from the engine to the radiator within the sill on the passenger side, then returns on the driver side. For a non UK car, the driver side will be cooler and from folks I've spoken to they've not complained of the radiated heat.
The carpeting under the seats does give the car a more "finished" appearance, as opposed to the black seat rail on aluminum. It also acts to buffer fallen debris (ie coins) from rattleling on the bare Al.
I love the manual window winders. I'd order a base car, then locate some carpeting to go under the seats. There are some older threads on ET that debated touring or not that can be searched for.

Thx a lot for your reply. Very helpful.

Here you go... Storm Ti. Touring red. I would get it for the added color, but I also would of liked the exige seats

There are lots of people that seem to have had problems with the carpeting on the sides falling down and not staying in place. Several have removed the carpet pieces, and then are left with the aluminum strip pop riveted down the side of the rails.

I have a base car, and I have not noticed any problems with not having carpeting under, the seats. Nor have I noticed the side sills getting warm from the cooling system.

I like my manual window winders...

Another vote for the Base interior. I love seeing the beautiful aluminum chassis extrusions...

I also oppted for the base interior. I like the hand crank windows, and if I'm not mistaken you still have to lean over to hit the power window switch on the passenger side even with the power windows. Someone else here described the power window switch as looking like a J.C. Witney add on and I agree. I'm not a big fan of leather seats in a car at the track either. They look nice and feel good on the street but they're slippery on the track. Another thing to think about is the color of the interior. My miata track car has a tan leather interior that never quite looked the same after sticking it in the dirt a few times with the top down. Black is easy to match and easy to keep clean. Good luck with your choice.

I like my manual window winders... Yee gods Tim,have you not driven your car on a long summer drive,it's like having an open oven door next to you.

it's like having an open oven door next to you. And on broil to boot...

I believe the 06 non-touring models have sillver door inserts. You should take that into account as well when you decide - IMHO the panels are truly hideous
