Q:
Just wondering if anyone would be interested in that. I've got an 06 coming in, but would prefer power windows.
A:
Can someone post the schematics of both so we can see what parts are common?
BTW, you'll need to run wiring from the door to the body as well.

I'm not so sure that's true -- power is already there for central locking -- and the windows are independent and on each door, there is no window wiring to the main chassis...

I've heard power windows are LIGHTER. Is this true? Manual crank mech,. is a little heavier.

According to my local dealer anyway, they are about 2 lbs lighter than crank...I would have thought the other way.

Power was what I was thinking about. Good point, should be easier if they're on the same circuit... I guess the fuses would tell that.

I do not think y0ou will have takers since power windows are lighter and less suceptible to rattles.

According to Lotus, the power windows are 7oz lighter.
I'm assuming they're talking about both sets combined.
A:
you never get my manual crank windows.. NEVER!!!!!
A:
Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't you still have to lean over to press the passenger side power window button to open it. To me that's the big advantage of power windows, you can open them from the same switch panel from the drivers side. Without that I don't see much of an advantage? If they're lighter and rattle less maybe thats a strong point. I really like the had cranks though.
A:
To my understanding, door rattles are associated with the fit of the striker pins, not the presence of manual window winders.
A:
pixlpush, even with power you still need to reach across the passenger, although it's not much of a "lean". It's more like a "grope".
