Self-Stick Aluminum 'ABCC' Logos

Interior Exterior

Q:
They are laser-cut aluminum in the official over-lapping
letter design which is the 'Chapman' logo. Though listed
on E-bay as ' 2 Lotus Logo Dashboard Badges', I decided
to apply them to the center-upper backrest area of my
leather seats and they look as if they were applied by the
factory. You'll have to bid on them and the item (on E-bay)
search number is 8030017473. I wound up getting the pair
for $7.00 plus shipping. P.S. - If you click on the additional
items he offers, you will see similar logos for a host of cars.
Get 'em' before Lotus shuts him down!
A:
IMHO, it looks like an obvious counterfeit because the small "C" doesn't protrude into the "B" as it should.
A:
They must be counterfeit. They should be ACBC logos.
A:
Yeah - the smaller "c" is barely there. Jumps out at me as quite odd. Is it actually like that on the ones that you received?
A:
Here's what they're selling...
Here's what it should look like...
Just looks like somethings not quite right.
A:
The actual logo appearing on the cover of my
Lotus Life magazine differs from the black one
shown previously as well. In the mag's logo
the inner c has a hook on the top right portion
of it...and the bottom of the B doesn't dip down
in its lower left corner, mimicking the left lower
portion of the A which points left, not down. If
the small c on the stick-on continued further into
the upper open area of the B it would match the
Logo Life Magazine's logo.
A:
Here's the original badge on the front of my '72 Lotus Elan - it's authentic. I'd say the black badge above is correct...
A:
I can find official Lotus logos, whether it be on their
inormational booklets or items like key chains and
mugs, that vary with regard to the left-most lower
section of the B's design. Some point straight-left
and others hook downward as the Elan badge shown
previously.
