Red Calipers & NiteShaded reflectors!

Interior Exterior

Q:
Well I finally had the free time to do some mods... well half of the car anyway
I used Duplicolor's red caliper painting kit and 3 very light coats of VHT NiteShades. I'd approximate that 95% of the LED light shines through the NiteShade - it's basically transparent. Likewise flash photography still shows orange and red...
Oh, please excuse the dirty car - I'll wash it tomorrow
The finished side (passenger)... bling bling bling
For comparison - the side that still has to be done (driver's)... stock blah blah blah. I'll finish it up tonight.
Enjoy!

Nice. Did you have to prep your side markers in any way, ie wet sanding, etc
A:
I never wet sand before NiteShading - just in case I ever want to go back to stock / soak them in Mineral Spirits. It's always turned out ok.

The calipers look great. But, to my eye the blacked-out reflectors detract from the look of the car more than the stock colored reflectors. Your eye sort of skips over the stock refelctors as you expect to see them on the car somewhere, but with them blacked out it looks like a section of the fender is missing and draws your eye there.

Looks fantasic. Normally I don't like any changes to reflectors, but with your color it really makes for simplier more cohesive look. Nice work.
